  • Papa Ola Lōkahi is seeking nominations for our 2024 Kaʻōnohi Awards.

Named after Dr. Alexander Friedenburg Ka‘ōhi‘ai Ka‘ōnohi, a practitioner who integrated traditional Hawaiian healing with Western naturopathy, the Ka‘ōnohi Award is awarded to those who have made significant contributions to the health and well-being of Native Hawaiians. The awards will be presented in June 2024.

Honorees have represented many areas of excellence — health care, traditional healing, policy, activism, workforce development, leadership, health promotion and education.

If someone in your community, workplace or sphere of influence has exemplified or promoted Hawaiian well-being, please share their story by nominating them for this award.

Up to two nominations per person may be accepted. Deadline to submit nominations is April 15, 2024.
